The article headline from the Portsmouth Daily Times (18 July 1964) read: "Four Freed on Bond after Pool Entry. Negroes Charged with Trespassing at Terrace Club." Al Ebbers reported that six protesters had been arrested and that charges of trespassing had been filed by "Atty. Ormond S. Adams, president of the Terrace Club Swimming Pool, Inc., a non-profit organization."
