Portrait of Julia Marlowe by Benjamin J. Falk

Benjamin J. Falk made this full-length portrait of Julia Marlowe in 1888, at his studio in New York City. Marlowe is in costume, "standing, facing left, with hands intertwined under chin." Falk's portraits were made in the months after Marlowe's successful New York debut at the Bijou Theater in October 1887.
