"Water Reservoir Breaks; six million gallons of water pours into Millbrook Lake"

"Six million gallons of water rushed down Basham Hill, carrying destruction in its path, when the east side concrete wall of the big reservoir, the storage of the city's water supply, collapsed at 4:45 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The entire east side of the hill was washed down to the rocks, trees were torn out by their roots, and three houses, two of them occupied, were wrecked by the onrush of water, which flowed through the hollow on the east side of the hill into Millbrook Lake."
